घुघुति ना बासा,आमै की डाई मा

"घुघुती ना बासा" गोपाल बाबू गोस्वामी का एक दर्द भरा विरह गीत है, ठीक कैले बाजे मुरूली की तरह। इस गीत में भी उत्तराखंड की एक विरहणी युवती की विरह का वर्णन है। उत्तराखंड की अर्थव्यवस्था को मनीऑर्डर व्यवस्था भी कहा जाता है क्योकिं यहां की स्त्रियां परदेश गये हुए घर के पुरुषों द्वारा भेजे गये मनीऑर्डर की बाट जोहती रहती हैं। ऐसे में उनकी भावनायें कहीं तब जाती हैं। घर के आसपास एक पक्षी घुघुती को आम के पेड़ पर बोलता देख वह और उदास हो जाती है और वह उससे कुछ कहने लगती है।   

भावार्थ : अरे घुघूती तू आम की डाली पर बैठ कर मत बोल। मत बोल…यह मुझे अच्छा नही लगता। तेरी आवाज़ सुनके मेरा मन उदास हो जाता है क्योंकि मेरे स्वामी (पति) बर्फ़ीले लद्दाख में हैं, मुझे उनकी चिंता सता रही है। अब चैत की सुहानी ऋतु आ गयी है, ऐसे में मुझे अपने पति की बहुत याद आ रही है। काश मेरे पास भी तेरी तरह पंख होते तो मैं भी उड़कर अपने स्वामी के पास चले जाती और उनका चेहरा जी भर कर देखती। जा घुघूती तू उड़ कर मेरे स्वामी के पास लदाख चले जा और उनको मेरे सारे हाल बता दे।

This sad song is sung by Gopal Babu Goswami. This tells the story of a women whose husband is in Laddakh. Very similar emotions like the song  “Kailey Baje Muruli”.This is a common story of Uttarakhandi women. The economy of Uttarakhand is said to be money-order economy. This is due to the fact that most of the men from the Uttarakhand work outside of Uttarakhand.One of the main profession of these men is Army. There are lot many people in army from Uttarakhand. When men go to army they have to leave their family .So the wife remains alone in a remote village, does all the house-hold chores, feeds cattle, take care of old in-laws starting from early day to late night. No one cares or bothers for her feelings, her aloneness, her solitude. In the mean time if war brakes down then that alone, poor woman prays for her husband. She can not do any thing and she cannot even get the right information in her remote village, due to non-availability of communication mediums.
