कैले बजै मुरूली… बैणा

“कैले बजै मुरुली…. बैंणा ऊंची ऊंची डान्यूँ मा” गोपाल बाबू गोस्वामी द्वारा गाया हुआ एक मार्मिक विरह गीत है। यह गीत एक ओर जहां एक विरहिणी की दशा का वर्णन करता है वहीं उत्तराखंड की उस स्थिति के बारे में भी बताता है जहां अधिकांश पुरुष सेना में काम करते हैं और उन्हें अपनी नयी-नवेली पत्नियों को छोड़ कर युद्ध-भूमि में जाना पड़ता है।

भावार्थ : एक युवती जिसका पति युद्ध-भूमि में गया हुआ और उसका कई दिनों से कोई समाचार नहीं आया है जब वह पर्वतों की ऊंची चोटियों से आती हुई बांसुरी की धुन को सुनती है तो वह बैचेन हो जाती है। वह अपनी सहेली से कहती है कि यह ऊंची-ऊंची चोटियों में बंशी कौन बजा रहा है। इस धुन को सुन कर मेर विरह-दग्ध हृदय मानो फट सा जाता है। इसे सुन कर दिल में एक टीस सी उठती है कौन है ये पापी जिसने मेरा मन दुखा दिया है। मेरे पति युद्ध-क्षेत्र में हैं और यह बंशी बजा रहा है। मेरे मायके की देवी भगवती तू मेरी आवाज़ सुन लेना और शीघ्र ही मेरे पति की कुशलता का समाचार मुझ तक पहुंचाना। मैं तेरे द्वारे आके खूब बड़ी पूजा करवाऊंगी। भूमि की रक्षा करने वाले भुमिया देव मेरी आवाज सुन लो और मेरी लाज रख लो। मेरे गले का मंगलसूत्र अब तुम्हारे ही हाथ में हैं। तुम युद्ध क्षेत्र में मेरे पति के साथ ही रहना और उनकी रक्षा करना ..हाँ।

Essence : This song, sung by Gopal Babu Goswami, describes the state of a woman whose husband is in army and currently fighting for the nation in war and she got no news since long about him. In uttarakhand many men are serving in the army, so this narrates the story of many women of Uttarakhand. While the women in the song is doing some work someone in the high mountains is playing flute and the  sound coming out from flute is making women sad as her husband is not there with her and she is missing her husband. The similar sentiments were echoed in another song “Ghughuti ni basa” where a woman ask a Uttarakhandi bird “Ghughuti” not to sing a song. Here woman is asking her friend that who is playing this flute which is saddening me and my heart is filled with the memory of my husband who is currently in the warfront. Then she urges the goddess of her place to take care of her husband and bring good news about him. She says to local gods that once her husband comes back from the warfront she would come to the temple with her husband and would perform a big “Pooja” there.She says “My future is in your hand God so please be there with my husband and protect him”. A very sad song indeed.
